Kirsty

Graphic Designer

Advanced Diploma of Graphic Design at The Gordon.

Kirsty grew up in the beautiful Otways before moving to Geelong to study Graphic Design at The Gordon, graduating in 2013 with an Advanced Diploma. During her studies, she was recognised for her strong technical skills with a Finished Art Award. Since then, she has built over 10 years of design experience across industries as diverse as local football, community organisations, disability services, craft beverages, and events.

Her career highlights include creating motion graphics and packaging at Craft Instinct, designing annual reports for Wathaurong Aboriginal Co-operative, and producing artwork for genU’s Big Night Out gala. With a strong background in both print and digital, she has worked across branding, packaging, and social media campaigns, often under the pressure of tight deadlines.

Alongside her role at Evolution, Kirsty is also part of the team at Wyld Work Projects, a local social enterprise. Passionate about neurodivergence, inclusivity, and representation, she brings creativity, empathy, and curiosity into every project she works on.

Passions

  • I am most passionate about neurodivergence, inclusivity, representation, and community.
  • My best personality trait is my curiosity and eagerness to learn about other people’s passions.
  • My favourite food is potato chips—simple but perfect.
  • I love creating, in as many forms as there are.
  • My favourite social media platform is Instagram.
  • I am always up for a delicious local craft beer.
  • My favourite movie is The Fifth Element.

  • Something people might not know about me is that I survived a house fire as a kid.
  • My favourite quote is: “Sucking at something is the first step towards being sorta good at something.” – Jake the Dog
  • My favourite music is progressive metal, which I like to think of as jazz played really loudly for far too long.
  • My biggest achievement was seeing my first label design on a beer can in a local bottle shop, then having my friends buy it so we could drink together over Zoom.
  • My favourite activities are drawing in the park, having a beer with friends, and playing with my cat, Gus.
