Project Scope
Southern Star Windows and Doors is a national company specialising in windows, doors, and hardware. They first approached the Evolution Design Agency team in 2023 after meeting with several website development companies in Geelong. With a comprehensive list of requirements, they found that Evolution was the only agency they met with, capable of fully accommodating their needs. A hands-on client, Southern Star prioritised the ability to edit the site with ease and confidence high on their list, and we happily accommodated. We were asked to undertake the project of modernising their outdated website.
Our collaboration with Southern Star began by understanding their vision and goals, followed by a thorough review of the existing site to identify areas for improvement. Our goal was to create a visually appealing, user-friendly WordPress website that aligns with their brand and provides comprehensive product information to their clients.
Evolution’s talented team of designers carefully crafted a user-friendly website that highlighted Southern Star’s range of available products and services. Our designers created a suite of icons to be used throughout the website, enhancing the overall visual appeal and enhanced user experience.
With the website design and icons finalised, our web development team began to build the custom, user-friendly WordPress website. The website now features filtering and search capabilities, a contact form, a request-a-quote feature, and social media integration. The site is complete with a responsive design that has been optimised for all devices, as well as for enhanced speed and performance.
Our goal was to transform and enhance Southern Star’s online presence, helping them better serve their clients and achieve their business goals through a modern, informative, and user-friendly website. Recognised as a top website developer in Geelong, the Evolution team continues to provide ongoing support and maintenance to Southern Star.
This includes ensuring the WordPress core, themes, and plugins are updated to the latest versions for compatibility and security, daily backups, performance optimisation, monitoring, maintenance, and ad-hoc user training as new features are added.
Southern Star has full control over their site’s content and frequently updates images, icons, and text throughout their website, making the most of their custom-built, user-friendly platform.
The Results
The new Southern Star website launched in April 2024. Just six months later, in October, the client reported a significant increase in website traffic and advised that their leads have nearly doubled compared to the same time the previous year.
